Materials & Craftsmanship

From a drawing
to a woodcut.

Every piece begins with a rough concept drawing. Frank develops the scene into a detailed ink drawing, prepares a cut file, and engraves the design into a carefully prepared wood panel.

Solid hard maple The panel is sanded and prepared before engraving, then sanded, sealed and treated with gel stain.
A carefully finished surface Three coats of 100% pure Tung oil, hand polished to a soft sheen.
Signed and ready to hang Each artwork is signed on the back and includes a keyhole hanging slot.
